By: Ruth Taber

El Paso Times

April 23, 2008 "Miller writes from experience as a busy mom, author and Food Network star. She has served up an essential guide for getting weeknight meals to the table quickly -- no fuss, no stress -- in this manual.

Each recipe includes prep time, active cooking time and "walk away time" -- the food cooks without supervision while you spend time with your kids or do other things." more...

University Alum Offers 'Quick Tips' for Cooking With a Busy Lifestyle

By: Liz Seasholtz

UD Review

April 15, 2008 "In college, cooking was the last thing Robin Miller worried about. Between playing lacrosse for the university and her studies as a psychology major, the 1986 alumna was too busy to put down her lacrosse stick and pick up a spatula.

However, post-graduation cooking became both a career and hobby, as Miller earned her own Food Network show, "Quick Fix Meals with Robin Miller," and wrote seven cookbooks, most recently "Robin to the Rescue."" more...

Celeb Chefs Star at Culinary Festival"

By: Mary Beth Faller

The Arizona Republic

April 2, 2008 "Food Network star Robin Miller will demonstrate her magical way of turning one delicious meal into two at the Cooks and Corks event, part of the Scottsdale Culinary Festival, on April 12.

Miller, who lives in Scottsdale, will prepare seared almond-crusted chicken with baby corn and tomatoes. Then, instead of "leftovers," she'll teach festivalgoers how to "morph" that meal into another special dinner: warm chicken-cherry Waldorf in romaine.

"People love the 'morphing' concept. It's not Grandma's leftovers," she says. "It's cooking one amazing dish and transforming it into something completely different."" more...

Triangle Mom 2 Mom Blog feature on Robin Miller

By:  Sarah Lindenfeld Hall

April 2008 "I try to scan cookbooks or Web sites for recipes, searching for inspiration. My goal has always been to try something new each week. I'm not always successful.

So the new cookbook by Robin Miller, star of Food Network's "Quick Fix Meals with Robin Miller," is a help. Miller, the mom of two young boys, is a nutritionist and food journalist and married to a Duke graduate.

She'll be in the Triangle later this month to promote the book, "Robin to the Rescue: Quick & Simple Ideas for Delicious Home Cooking" (The Taunton Press; $18.95), which came out last month." more...

As the host of her own Food Network show, a nutrition expert and mother of two boys, Robin Miller knows all too well the mealtime struggle many parents face. She shares her strategies to ensure children get the balanced diet—rich in protein, whole grains, fruits and vegetables —their bodies need.

The first of two parts of an interview of Robin by The Back Porch Show's Cookin' It Up spotlight is available.

"Meet the Queen of Quick Fix Meals"

By: Cheryl Kushner

East Valley Tribune

March 28, 2008 "It's 5 o'clock Eastern time Monday afternoon, and Scottsdale mom and Food Network star Robin Miller is on a plane in Cleveland getting ready to take off for Detroit and stop No. 9 on her 26-city book tour to promote "Quick Fix Meals," also the title of her weekly food show.

So while she's traveling, who's doing the cooking at home? Or, rather, who fixes the quick meals?

"I cook, someone else serves," Miller says with a laugh. "My husband's been doing a lot of chili. And there's all the meals I put up ahead of time so my mother-in-law, June, could pull them out."" more...

"Miller Offers Simple Meals for Hurried Lifestyles"

By: Karin Welzel

Pittsburgh-Tribune Review

March 5, 2008 "My recipes are full of nutrients, fiber and minimal amounts of fat. I use fat where you are going to notice it."

Miller and Ellie Krieger, a registered dietitian who hosts "Healthy Appetite" on the Food Network, are two of a growing number of television personalities who bring a scientific background about nutrition to the screen. Can the public look for more?

"I hope so," says Miller, a native of Philadelphia. "What I found in school is that many dietitians can't cook. There wasn't one single cooking class offered. It's incredible. We'd give information to our patients about living a healthy life but never told them how to put it all together." more...

"TV Host Sends Ideas to Rescue"

Evansville Courier & Press

March 5, 2008 "Robin Miller's eighth and newest cookbook, "Robin to the Rescue: Quick & Simple Ideas for Delicious Home Cooking," will be released next week.

"A lot of people taking on these strategies are having fun cooking again," Miller said. "There's so little stress involved that they're finding it's fun to be creative. And you don't need 90 ingredients to make a meal taste like something from a gourmet restaurant."" more...

"Food Network Stars Dish About Ethnic Cuisine in American Mainstream"

By: Jerry Shriver

USA Today

March 2008 ""When I go out to eat, instead of fusion cuisine, I want fusion restaurants. In Scottsdale (Ariz.), we have one, South Beach, that's American-Caribbean and also has a sushi bar, so it's appealing to a variety of palates under one roof. And at Sol Y Sombra in North Scottsdale, you can get marinated squid, or just cheese and nuts and olives or hot or cold soups. Small bites, bold flavors to satisfy without stuffing."" more...
